Real Clients. Real Shockwave Results.

Everyone on this page is a Sports Performance client who agreed to sit down on camera and say what happened, in their own words. No actors, no scripts, and nothing written for them. We use first names and ages only.

On Camera

Hear It From Them

Four clients, four different problems. Each one agreed to be filmed after their course of treatment.

I broke my foot in September and wanted to heal as fast as possible… We did two sessions a week for three weeks. I was back to running full-time in November — only off my broken foot for two months, with pretty much no restrictions, no pain. I don’t think PT alone could have helped my bone heal faster.

— Alicia, 43

Broken foot · Shockwave + EMTT · back to full running in about two months

My knee pain was a seven out of ten, sometimes eight. It stopped me running, squatting, even kicking the ball with my son… The most helpful has been the shockwave therapy. I felt that stuff instantly. Next day I was able to get out of bed normal — and I was able to run again.

— Eduardo, 48

Chronic knee pain · running, squatting and playing with his son

The pain was almost instantly gone — the tightness, the soreness, the aching in the joints. I’m able to open and close my hands more freely than I had in the last six to nine months. The relief has been by far the greatest of any other treatment I’ve had.

— Jet, 50

Chronic hand & wrist pain · six to nine months of stiffness

Corey came to us with a surgical recommendation already on the table. His account is in the video — we’d rather you hear it from him than read our summary of it.

Context

The Problems Behind These Stories

Four cases that look different on the surface and have the same thing in common: a healing process that had stopped.

A bone that wasn't healing

Alicia’s fracture was the problem shockwave and EMTT are genuinely good at — a healing process that had slowed down and needed restarting, rather than pain that needed masking.

A knee that had stopped him doing things

Eduardo’s case is the common one: pain bad enough to remove running, squatting and playing with his kids from his life, with no single injury to point at.

Hands and wrists that had been stiff for months

Jet had lived with it for six to nine months and had already tried other treatments. Longstanding problems are the ones most likely to have stalled — and the ones shockwave is built for.

Someone weighing surgery

Corey came in with an operation on the table. Not everyone in that position avoids surgery, and we won’t tell you that you will — but it is worth knowing whether there’s a step in between.

What To Expect

What A Course Of Treatment Looks Like

Most conditions respond in 4 to 6 sessions, usually about a week apart.

Each visit runs 20 to 30 minutes. The treatment itself is 5 to 10 minutes on the area.

No downtime. You drive yourself home. We ask you to go easy on high-impact activity for a day or two afterward so the healing response isn’t interrupted.

Many clients notice a change within 2 to 3 sessions. Because shockwave rebuilds tissue rather than numbing pain, improvement often continues for weeks after the last session.

Longstanding or deeper problems sometimes need more. You’ll get a realistic number when we speak, before you commit to anything.

The Wider Picture

What About The Written Reviews?

Sports Performance Physical Therapy has 223 five-star Google reviews and 87 more on Yelp, built up since 2014. To be straight with you: those reviews are about the clinic as a whole — our physical therapy, our staff, the way we run the place. Shockwave is a newer service line and most of those reviewers came to us for something else. The videos above are the shockwave evidence. The review count is the reason people trusted us enough to try it.
